Schroeder, Carl
Keyboard

Pianist Carl Schroeder is from New York, where he started his career playing with blues legends Jimmy Reed and John Lee Hooker, subsequently switching gears and recording with jazz greats Art Blakey and Roy Haynes. His work with illustrious jazz vocalist Sarah Vaughan enabled him to perform around the world and be heard on two Grammy-nominated recordings. In addition to appearing several times at the White House for U.S. Presidents, he is featured in the Smithsonian Collection of Classic Jazz. Carl teaches improvisation and composition, and the Schroeder LPW has introduced hundreds of students to the mysteries of chord changes on all instruments.
