Ian Robbins is a guitarist, songwriter, educator, and USC graduate with
Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Studio/Jazz Performance. His performance
and recording credits include work with Barry Manilow, Bonnie Raitt, Wynton
Marsalis, Peter Erskine, Stu Hamm, Kurt Elling, Ernie Watts, Scott
Henderson, and many others. His session work has also included projects for
Nickelodeon Studios, NBC’s *This Is Us*, and GRAMMY-winning producer Bobby
Watson.

As a faculty member at Musicians Institute, Robbins teaches Guitar
Technique, Guitar Reading, Songwriting, Ear Training, Private Lessons, and
performance classes spanning Punk, Blues Rock, and Fusion. He is also the
author of *Beginning Guitar for the Songwriter* and the four-volume *Reading
for the Contemporary Guitarist* series, both developed for use within MI’s
curriculum.

Outside of teaching, Robbins is the lead guitarist, singer, and songwriter
for punk rock band Get Out™, which has released eight albums and performed
hundreds of shows alongside artists including Voodoo Glow Skulls,
Streetlight Manifesto, MXPX, and Suburban Legends.
