MI instructor TJ Helmerich has worked with some of the biggest names in the business as both a recording engineer and a musician. Behind the console, TJ is Grammy Nominated with credits including “Friday DVD” Stanley Clarke, Dweezil Zappa, the Neville Bro’s, Ron Wood to name a few. His brand of eight-finger guitar playing (showcased on 4 albums along side Dennis Chambers, Gary Willis, Brett Garsed, Scott Kinsey released on Shrapnel records) has brought him international acclaim. T.J is also an exceptional vocalist and has featured his playing and singing skills on tour with fellow alumnus Paul Gilbert (Mr.Big), Zappa plays Zappa, Eddie Jobson (UK) and more. TJ is an “MI Legacy” instructor having 27 years teaching experience under his belt.
