Gianluca Palmieri, already one of the most in-demand drummers in the Italian music scene, after several years of national live performing and session work, he moved to Hollywood, California, where he graduated from Musicians Institute, winning the “Outstanding Player Achievement Award 2007” and the prestigious Carlos Vega Memorial Scholarship. In 2007 he started working with guitar virtuoso Greg Howe, recording his latest album “Sound Proof” and touring with him all over the world.

Gianluca has recorded and performed with David Garfield, Stu Hamm, Jennifer Batten, Shayna Steele, Kamasi Washington, Kamran&Hooman, Reggie Hamilton, Bjorkestra, Jimmy Earl, Airto Moreira, Soils Strings Quartet, Luis Conte, Lenny Castro and many others. In the last few years he has been the official drummer for the band MARAGOLD, featuring Greg Howe on guitar, and the new original LA based band GENR8R. Also he is very active with the FOR THE RECORD company on their latest shows “Tarantino”, “BAZ” and “Scorsese”.
