We realize that finding a safe, comfortable, and affordable place to live is a concern for many of our students, and it can be an especially daunting task if you are from another state or country and are unfamiliar with the Los Angeles area. That’s why we’re here – the Housing Department provides a number of resources designed to help you find housing, connect with roommates, and generally get settled in before you begin classes.

New and continuing students may apply for the Residence Hall. Don’t miss out — space is limited! Assignments will be made based on the date applications are received, so apply early for the best selection.Download the Residence Hall Application, and email to housing@mi.edu to be considered.

The MI Housing Guide* provides information and assistance regarding MI residence halls, apartment rentals, FAQs, rental agreements, renters’ rights, finding roommates, budgeting for food, utilities, telephone services, where to shop, and how to get around the city. If you live in the Hollywood area, MI’s nightly Shuttle Service offers free transportation right to your door after a late night of classes, practice or rehearsal.

More information on all of our Housing Services may be obtained by contacting your Admissions Representative directly by phone or email. You may also contact us by calling: 800-255-7529 (U.S./Canada) or 323-462-1384 (International) or email our housing committee at housing@mi.edu. We look forward to helping you with your plans to study at Musicians Institute.
