On January 23, renowned conductor Gustavo Dudamel received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, right in front of Musicians Institute’s entrance! We were lucky to be there to witness the historic event, as Dudamel became the first Venezuelan citizen to get this honor. The special event was coupled with some speeches and mentions of some other big stars in the music world, including beloved film composer John Williams and frontman of Coldplay, Chris Martin. Also joining to honor Dudamel were actress Helen Hunt and actor Cristoph Waltz.

In the past, MI has hosted the musicians who receive stars near the school, and it was great to be able to see this great artist be recognized! Check out a few snaps from the morning below:
