MI SUCCESS STORY: NAYANNA HOLLEY
An alumni of MI’s Vocal Summer Shot program in 2001, Nayanna Holley has gone to enjoy much success as a steadily working background and lead vocalist. Some of Nayanna’s major gigs have included tours with Selena Gomez, Sheryl Crow, Robin Thicke, Allen Stone, and Robbie Williams. She has also toured internationally with Johnny Hallyday, British pop star Robbie Williams and Italian singer-songwriter Elisa.
Her work also spans into the realm of television as she’s provided backing vocals for American Idol and The Voice. A full resume of her supporting gigs include performances with Beyoncé, Queen Latifah, Stevie Wonder, Ed Sheeran, Carrie Underwood, John Legend, Pharrell Williams, Martina McBride, The Roots, Justin Timberlake, Jessie J, Shakira, Ne-Yo, The Rickey Minor Band, and Brazilian legend, Sergio Mendes. Her performances with him include “You and I” and “Emorio” on Bom Tempo, Latin-Grammy Award winner for ‘Best Contemporary Brazilian Pop Album’.
Nayanna also runs her own YouTube channel, The Practice Room, which offers up and coming singers tips on singing technique, auditions, warm-ups and ins and outs of the music industry.
