MI SUCCESS STORY: HUNTER WILLIS
Hunter Wills came to Musicians Institute in Hollywood from his hometown Lake Charles, Louisiana. He first began his time at MI as a guitarist in the Guitar Performance program before eventually transferring to the Music Business program. Hunter says that as a guitarist, he was interest in how sound works, which led to him taking classes in Audio Engineering and eventually landing in music business to learn everything from the business side.
His experience in many sides of the music industry landed him a job as Head of Music Department at DA Music in Los Angeles, a music management company and music production library.
Hunter shares about his experience at MI,
“I would say the most important thing I learned at MI is always keep a level head and always do what you can to network with other musicians. You never know who is going to be your biggest help in this industry. “
