He spent 12+ years negotiating, drafting, and administrating publishing contracts as a music publisher and contract administrator. After that, Andy worked for two law firms and numerous clients in the subjects of intellectual property law and business. Between 1996 and 2005, he worked behind the camera in major motion pictures, as music consultant for independent films, and he worked in-house with production companies such as Deline Pictures at Warner Bros and Playtone (Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman Production Company.)
In 2016 / 2017 he was a researcher for the United Nations Special Rapporteur in Cultural Rights. His legal research expands from the birth of our intellectual property rights system, to the Napster “self-destruction” lawsuit of the music industry. Among his previous clients are record labels such as Side One Dummy, Kiefer Sutherland’s Ironworks, and Matthew McConaughey’s JK Livin’.
