Dave Bates and Edge of Paradise Album Release Show at Key Club Free to MI Students

|    Apr 12, 2011

Dave Bates (Guitar) and Edge of Paradise, with Margarita Monet on vocals and keys alongside Dave and his former Bleed bandmates Robin McCauley (MSG), Kevin Katich (MI Grad, Thunder City Shout), and Steven Cook (Course of Nature), play the Key Club on April 14 to celebrate the release of their debut album. MI students are invited to attend the show free (tickets are available in the Student Affairs Office).  Visit the band’s Reverb Nation page to hear singles from the new record, recorded with session musicians Gregg Bissonette (Steve Vai) and Tony Franklin (The Firm).

This June, Edge of Paradise will also be featured in The Real Hollywood, an independent documentary depicting the sidewalk reality of Hollywood and the artistic community trying to survive there. The film has been picked up by HBO; click here to find out more and view the trailer.

Before joining Bleed, Dave was the songwriter and lead guitarist for 30 Round Clip, produced by Grammy-award winner Bob Kulick (Kiss) and Billy Sherwood (Earth, Wind and Fire), and played in the house band for the Warner Bros. TV show Zoe. Dave has also released three instructional DVDs through publisher Metal Method and owns and operates his own music school, The Rock Shop, in Thousand Oaks, CA.
