MI SUCCESS STORY: TROY LAURETA
After graduating from MI in 2008, Troy Laureta jumped head first into a career as a producer and musical director for some of the biggest names in the music business. In 2009, Troy served as keyboardist for Stevie Wonder and India Arie during Stevie’s House Full Of Toys Benefit Concert. It wasn’t long before he made the rounds for many diverse artists, serving as musical director for David Foster, Charice, Rita Ora, Melanie Fiona, Iggy Azalea and working with fellow MI alum, Anderson Paak.
In 2013, Troy grabbed the gig of a lifetime as pop superstar Ariana Grande’s musical director. He took part in her “Listening Sessions” Tour, iHeart Concert Series, Jingle Ball and her 2015 Honeymoon Tour, where he travelled all around the world and back. This experience garnered Troy his own fan base and with this further exposure, he continues to serve as director for other artists, while also going back to his roots as a producer with a few new projects in the pipeline.
