MI SUCCESS STORY: TIANA WOODS

MI Music Business alum Tiana Woods decided to focus on the performance side of the music industry and became the lead singer of rock band, Varna. Their video for their single “My Heart” was premiered exclusively on Revolver magazine’s webpage in early 2014, and the band received airplay on 95.5 KLOS-FM’s “The Heidi & Frank Show,” which named Varna as “Best Unsigned Band Ever Played” on their Stay or Go segment. This was not a light statement and the band has continued to play in and around Los Angeles.

The band, which also includes MI alum Rob Shin on drums, is back in the studio working on new material for 2018. To kick off the new year, Varna was nominated at The 16th Annual The Independent Music Awards for Best Hard Rock Song for their single, “Survival Of The Fittest.”
