MI SUCCESS STORY: FABIAN EGGER

A native of Switzerland, Fabian Egger was born into a musical family and knew by the time he was two years old that he loved music and wanted to always pursue it. When he was 16, Fabian was approached by MI at Xtreme Drum Camp in Koblenz, Germany, which would eventually lead to him being enrolled as a student. Fabian completed his studies at MI within 18 months and soon after was working for Brian Mcknight and Adam Lambert, a gig he secured through MI’s Hiring Hall.

In 2013, he served as Musical Director for Big Sean and continued to make stage appearances with artists like Nicki Minaj, Drake, Jhene Aiko and Chord Overstreet. He’s also had some impressive television spots on Dancing With The Stars, Jimmy Kimmel Live, NBC Today Show, and much more. Fabian is currently Musical Director for 2017 Ascap Pop Awards Winner Prince Charlez and Kalin White and in early 2018, will serve as music director for an up and coming protege of Kanye West. As for his education at MI, Fabian asserts that his greatest lesson he learned was that your network is your worth, and attributes many of his early gigs coming from connections he made here on this campus.
