A practical application of digital recording techniques using Ableton Live. Building on Ableton Live 1, this course provides a more in-depth practical application of digital recording techniques using Ableton Live, including Ableton Instrument Synthesis, Samplers, Ableton Racks and production tips and tricks. Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to create their own sounds and effects to save custom user patches.

- Create custom drum racks and Sampler patches
- Build new instrument racks and effects racks
- Automate Effects and Midi racks with custom patches
- Record new instrument performance with automation
- Learn advance mixing and mastering techniques

i LESSON GUIDE

Students learn a basic overview of the history of audio synthesis. The instructor will walk you through each section of a basic synthesizer and how they apply to all synthesizers in Ableton. Students will understand and operate all parameters of a synthesizer and its custom settings. Different types of synthesis are explored with Subtractive and Fm.
