MI SUCCESS STORY: BLAIR SHOTTS

Blair Shotts (Drums) is working as drummer and Musical Director for Daddy Mention, a new band featuring Angelo Moore (Fishbone) and GRAMMY-nominated bassist Philip Bynoe (Steve Vai). The band recently signed a distribution deal with Mooremapp Records and released their first single “Say Goodbye,” available on iTunes and Amazon, with the accompanying music video produced by MI Film grad Clint Gregory of Let Em Have It Productions. Blair has also recorded with Toots & the Maytals and performed live with Macy Gray, Adam Lambert, Jesse McCartney and others.

In 2011, he performed “What’s My Name” with Rihanna and Drake at the GRAMMY Awards and appeared in a Smirnoff commercial, playing marching snare with Pharrell of N.E.R.D. He is also currently performing with Independent Artist alumna Rachel Sierra. See the video for “Say Goodbye” and find out more about Daddy Mention on their Facebook Page.
