Songwriter Allan Rich Joins MI Artist and Career Services Department

Oscar, Grammy, and Golden Globe- nominated songwriter Allan Rich has joined with MI’s Artist and Career Services Department (ACS) to provide career counseling for MI students. Allan’s extensive song catalog includes hits for Natalie Cole ("I Live For Your Love"), James Ingram ("I Don't Have The Heart"), Whitney Houston ("Run To You” from the multi-platinum Bodyguard soundtrack), Kenny Loggins ("For The First Time" from the movie One Fine Day), and N'Sync ("I Drive Myself Crazy") as well as "Before I Fall In Love" from the hit movie Runaway Bride and two #1 dance hits for Kristine W ("Stronger" and "Walk Away"). At MI, Allan will use his vast songwriting and music business experience to give students valuable insights into the process of writing hit songs and the workings of the music industry. He will also review and offer critiques of current and former students’ original recordings. MI alumni can make an appointment with Allan by contacting ACS Director Todd Berhorst at (323) 860-1118.
