Gary Greenberg is a music attorney with over 25 years of experience in the music industry. Gary got his BA from Brown University and his JD from Boalt Hall at UC Berkeley. He worked as an associate at two prestigious entertainment law firms before starting his own firm in Los Angeles in 1990.
Before law school, Gary worked in New York City as a professional drummer and continues to play regularly at clubs in Los Angeles and for recording sessions.
Gary’s current clients include Jimmy Cliff, Fantasia, Dave Koz, Sergio Mendes and the producers of Kendrick Lamar. He also represents a number of up and coming artists, writers and producers and is actively doing deals with all of the major labels and publishing companies.
Gary co-wrote the popular music industry book, Everything You’d Better Know About the Record Industry and the American Bar Association handbook, How to Build and Manage an Entertainment Law Practice.
Gary also teaches a Music Business class at UCLA Extension and is an active member of the Grammy’s Professional Development Committee.
