Los Angeles-based, Swiss-born guitarist/composer Antoine Salem has written, performed and recorded music professionally since age 16, has toured internationally and worked in collaboration with artists across the globe including George Clinton, Praz (of the Fugees), Verve recording artist Brenna Whitaker, R&B artist Amerie, Brazilian singer Tita Lima, Miguel Atwood Ferguson, Clare Muldaur, Lionel Loueke (of Herbie Hancock), Cora Coleman Dunham (of Prince and Beyonce) and many more.
Antoine has opened – as a performer with his own projects for such greats as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ben Harper, Gilberto Gil, Roy Ayers, BB King, Tower of Power and more. As a composer, his music and songs have been featured on numerous films and TV shows – such as ABC’s “Brothers and Sisters”.
Antoine specializes in improvisation and composition techniques applicable not only to guitar but to virtually any instrument and to many genres of music. He helps students explore the relationship between these two fundamental elements of music making and how they can be used as constant tools in today’s demanding professional music field. He also has an extended experience in successfully booking, promoting and tour managing his own trio in the US and Europe. Antoine is a graduate of Berklee College Of Music.
