Blair is IAP’s session drummer. Blair has performed with Rihanna and Drake at the Grammy Awards, Macy Gray and Adam Lambert in The Zodiac Show, as well as The Roots, DJ Logic and Jesse McCartney. Blair played a principal role in a Smirnoff commercial playing marching snare with Pharrell Williams, and was nominated for Best Musical Direction in a Theatrical Production by L.A. Weekly for his musical direction in Everyman For Himself, a play directed by Ameenah Kaplan of Stomp.

Blair also tracked drums for Toots and the Maytals’ Grammy nominated album Light Your Light, featuring Bonnie Raitt and Derek Trucks. Currently, Blair is the creator, music director and drummer for Daddy Mention. Daddy Mention is world, soul, funk, project featuring Angelo Moore {Fishbone}, Philip Bynoe {Steve Vai, Frank Gambale}, Beenie Man and Capleton {Dance Hall legends}, Dave Douglas {Jazz Legend} and a host of master musicians from around the world.

IAP students can come in to Blair’s project advising and get live drums and percussion, as well as production advice. on their songs.
