MI SUCCESS STORY: LISSIE

IAP Alum Lissie has been doing big things after her six month stint at MI. She first garnered an Internet following after her viral cover of Kid Cudi’s “Pursuit of Happiness,” which would also later be sampled by other artists. In 2010, Lissie signed to Columbia Records to release her gold-selling debut Catching a Tiger and its 2013 follow-up Back to Forever. Throughout the years, Lissie has gone on the road and opened for big names like Lenny Kravitz and Tom Petty.

Her songs have been featured on a variety of top television shows, and the Deadmau5 remix of her track “The Longest Road” was nominated for a Grammy for Best Remixed Recording, non classical.) Most recently, she had the honor to be chosen by the legendary director David Lynch to include music on the Twin Peaks revival soundtrack, and she performed her single “Wild Wild West” on the show.
