"The Latin-Funk Connection": New Instructional DVD from Chuck Silverman

Chuck Silverman (Drum Faculty) has announced the release of his latest instructional DVD, The Latin-Funk Connection (Cherry Lane Music distributed by Hal Leonard).

Long-time MI staff instructor Silverman said, “The 90-minute DVD concentrates on five very useful funk and Latin grooves. They are taught from the ground up, laying out in very easy-to-follow exercises exactly how I have developed a definite style of playing the drum set. A PDF is included with note-for-note transcriptions of all exercises.”

The DVD has already earned pre-release raves from renowned drummers. Kenny Aronoff said, “Chuck's DVD brings the coolest funk beats together with some great Latin beats, concepts  and feels that are amazing and useful regardless of what style of music you play. Chuck also is a very good teacher and explains everything amazingly.” Funk style-setter David Garibaldi added, "Chuck has connected funk and Latin music in a way that's easy to understand. Plus, he explains his personal concept really well, not only with words but with some great drumming. Very impressive!"
