Scott Bradoka (GIT '92)

|    Jan 01, 2005

Since graduating from GIT in 1991, guitarist Scott Bradoka has wasted no time in putting his skills to work as a recording artist, producer and sideman. He has released five solo instrumental CDs (including his most recent live recording, Live and Loose and studio project Create Your Own Reality, both on Speechless Records) to outstanding reviews—20th Century Guitar Magazine called Live and Loose “the best live guitar fusion album of 2003!” and Jazz Times labeled Scott “…an axe to watch in the very rich and growing power rock-jazz crossover.”
In addition to his own projects, Scott has recently co-produced a drum technique CD for Scott Williams (included with his Mel Bay book, The Funky Six), co-produced a track on Douglas Powell's Just Listen CD, and co-produced a Christmas track for ex-Sheryl Crow guitarist Todd Wolfe. He is also performing steadily as a member of platinum-selling songwriter/producer Eric Bazilian's live band.
A dozen years after graduation, Scott offered his perspective on his time at MI. “MI is a great learning experience,” he reflected. “Not only do some of the most amazing players teach at the school, you get to pick up things from all your classmates, too. You get to live and breathe music 24 hours a day with like-minded musicians. I found that playing in the "real world" was second nature after MI. Looking back, MI is the foundation for everything I have done since and will do in the future.”

“More and more of the auditions I’m having for recording artists are turning out to be MI class reunions. The graduates of MI have been dominating the new, young music scene in LA”.
