Mira Abas Joins Music Connection Magazine

Mira Abas (Music Business ’11) has joined Music Connection Magazine as an Artist & Reader Relations Coordinator. “I handle anything regarding the artists reviewed in our magazine and reader/subscriber inquiries, as well as supervising our online musician social community, ‘AMP,’ maintaining our social media presence, and representing Music Connection at industry events,” said Mira. “I also get to listen to dozens of music submissions and I’m currently beginning to write CD reviews.”

Prior to attending MI, Mira interned in the Promotions Department at Island Def Jam Records in New York City. While attending the Music Business Program at MI, she completed two internships, one in the A&R Department at Warner Bros. Records and the other at Music Connection. “I can honestly say that [Music Connection] has been the most rewarding experience of the three. It’s great to work with a small family of people and to be able to help unsigned, Indie artists get their music reviewed and heard.”
