Kemble Walters, vOLUMe Release EP

Kemble Walters (Audio Engineering) and his band vOLUMe have released their debut EP and are completing their album at Canshaker Studios in Malibu. Kemble describes how it all came about:

“For the past five years I was a touring musician and songwriter for the band Juliette and the Licks featuring Juliette Lewis on vocals.  After two records and many world tours, I decided it was time to embark on my own dream, vOLUMe, which started as a solo project while on tour but quickly consumed me and became far too big for me to pursue on the side.  After I left Juliette’s band I enrolled in the Audio Engineering program at MI to gain knowledge about recording and recording gear after years of constantly being on the opposite side of the glass.  It was perfect timing as I was ready to start laying down tracks in the studio for the vOLUMe - I EP (available on iTunes and at shows).   What I gained from the program and my teachers allowed me to jump head-first into my album and come out with a professional product.

“Since I graduated from MI, vOLUMe has played SSMF (for its fourth show) alongside Ozzy, KORN, and Shiny Toy Guns, is currently working on its full-length record at Canshaker studios in Malibu, Ca, and have been deemed "LA's Hidden Gem" by the Rock N' Roll Internet Show.  I have also had the privilege to play guitar alongside Pink, Dave Grohl, Daniel Powter, Deryk Wibley, Avril Levigne, Matt Skiba, Kellii Scott, Paull Ill, Butch Walker and more, and I am about to start mixing a record for Bandit, a rock/punk band from Slovenia.

“MI helped glue all my talents and ideas into one big melting pot and allowed them all to join forces and go out into the world, no holds barred, and do what I do and love best, music!”
