Johnny Monaco (GIT '87)

|    Jan 01, 2005

For the past seven years, Johnny Monaco has been the guitar player–and now singer–for successful rockers EnuffZ’nuff. The band has released 13 (that’s right-thirteen!) CDs and has done multiple tours of the US, Japan and Europe (for band news, visit www.EnuffZnuff.com). When not on the road, Johnny returns to his home town of Chicago where he relentlessly writes, records and performs (for news about Johnny's projects, see www.johnnymonaco.com)
During spring 2003, Johnny and EnuffZ’nuff toured England, Scotland, Italy and Spain with LA Guns along with a summer package tour featuring Faster Pussycat, Steven Adler, Pretty Boy Floyd and others. Johnny has also been very successful in the creative world of the pop-jingle business with TV/Radio clients including Coors Light, Budweiser, Michelob, L&M, Pall Mall, Army, KFC, Ivory, United Home Mortgage, Jeep & Nintendo.
Johnny continues to tour throughout the US and Europe as well as performing solo acoustic shows in the Chicagoland area and was also featured on the pilot for the VH1 TV reality show Bands On The Run scheduled to air in early 2007. Johnny's new solo CD, The Wrong Crowd, as well as his debut instrumental guitar CD, Kung-Fu You, are scheduled for release in 2006.
Remembering his GIT experience, Johnny reflects, "Going to GIT was great!! It's the very best way to get away from everyone you love and just play guitar 24-7. Your local junior college will make you good but GIT makes you great."
