Amit Ofir, Abused Romance Sign Universal Distribution Deal

|    Sep 11, 2009

Amit Ofir (Guitar) and his band Abused Romance have just signed a distribution deal with Universal Music Group. After self-releasing a successful EP, the band secured a record deal with Freeway Records with distribution through Universal. The band, managed by legendary Russ Regan (Elton John, Neil Diamond) and Kent Jacobs (Madonna, Akon), is scheduled to begin recording their debut album with producer Justin Gray (Joss Stone, Emma Bunton, Alex Parks) for a January 2010 release coinciding with a video for their hit single, "Hit and Run.”

Since his graduation from MI in 2006, Amit has been touring around the globe (Japan, Brazil, Mexico, UK, Denmark, Russia and Israel), performing in front of thousands of people in major festivals with top trance artist DJ Dali (HomMega Records) as well as working with Abused Romance as a guitar player, songwriter and producer.

For more information about the record and tours, check out Amit’s website and the band’s website and myspace.
