Matt Linsky, Ricardo Esteves & Sam Murphy of “Brad Standley & The Foxflies” Release New EP

|    Jan 13, 2012

Matt Linsky (Guitar ’12), Ricardo Esteves (Audio Engineering ’05) and Sam Murphy (Drums ’11) and their band Brad Standley & The Foxflies released their new album, The EP, this past October.

In 2010, the band completed a successful European tour promoting their previous release, The Hybrid. That album was acclaimed by French critics, including Caroline Jolivet of the French blog Sortir à Paris, who described it as, “lively, seductive, and surprising…an album that transports us to an euphoric dream world, with the perfect marriage of folk and indie rock…to be discovered in all urgency.”

In December, the band released a new music video for their single “Tik Tok Nation” (view it here) and recently signed a PR, booking and management deal with ArKay Marketing as well as a string endorsement with D'Addario. A recent show at LA's Viper Room was reviewed in a web feature by Rising Hollywood, and on January 31 the band is set to perform at The Rainbow Room along with L.A. Scuffle and Sinicle, both also including MI students and grads. In November, the band performed at an official pre-party event for the American Music Awards in Los Angeles and they are currently in negotiation with MGM regarding an official residency in Las Vegas.
