On Thursday, August 28, Stanley Clarke and luthier Thomas Lieber are conducting a private demonstration of new products from the Spellbinder Corporation exclusively for MI Bass students and staff.  Clarke (acclaimed as one of the world’s most influential electric bassists since his work with the seminal jazz-fusion group Return to Forever) and Lieber have collaborated on the design of Spellbinder’s instruments, which include the new Limited Edition Spellbinder Bass II, Spellbinder Contrebasse, and Spellbinder Mando Piccolo Bass. All students who attend will receive a free copy of SMV’s new CD Thunder, featuring Clarke, Marcus Miller and Victor Wooten, and participate in a drawing for Spellbinder bass strings.
