John Wesley (Porcupine Tree) will perform a solo acoustic set for Summer Shot students on June 25th in MI’s Passage Performance Center on Hollywood Boulevard. Wesley will also be conducting special guitar and career-guidance sessions for Summer Shot students as part of MI's intensive one-week summer program in contemporary music performance.

 Since 2002, Wesley has been touring and recording with critically acclaimed UK-based Lava/Atlantic recording act Porcupine Tree while simultaneously maintaining his career as an independent solo recording artist. He has also toured on lead guitar and background vocals for White Lion front-man Mike Tramp, lead guitar and bass for Florida's Sister Hazel, and lead guitar for Scottish neo-prog legend Fish while performing over a thousand shows in thirty different countries as a solo artist and sideman. An alumnus of MI’s Encore program, John also owns a recording studio and is a certified Pro Tools engineer.
