On Thursday, May 15, vocalist, independent artist and MI instructor Jami Lula kicks off the VIT Spotlight Series with a performance and inspirational seminar on singing, songwriting, and surviving as an independent artist.  

The Detroit native moved to Los Angeles to attend MI in 1987, returning in 1989 to join the vocal staff where he continues to teach voice, songwriting, stage movement, creativity and performance.

His soulful, eclectic musical quartet LULA forms the basis of his artistic career, which also includes contributions as a featured soloist with the choir group TAG through the Agape International Center of Truth. His independent album releases and performances have received consistent praise, and he has devoted considerable effort to supporting charitable organizations with his uplifting, healing, heart opening and inspiring performers.
