On Thursday, January 25 BIT presents a clinic by noted bass virtuoso Kai Eckhardt. Kai’s extensive resume includes tours and recordings with the John McLaughlin Trio (alongside Trilok Gurtu (1988-90), Stanley Clarke, Wayne Shorter, Zakir Hussain, Partice Rushen, Billy Cobham , Warren Hill and many others. Currently, he is active as a solo artist as well as with Garaj Mahal, Alex Machacek, Summit and Timucin Sahin. He is also a regular clinician at institutions including MI, Berklee, Amsterdam Conservatory, and the New York Collective among others and endorses Eden bass amplifiers.
