On Thursday, March 6, GIT welcomes Anthrax founder/guitarist Scott Ian. During this special clinic, students will have a unique opportunity to jam on stage with one of the architects of thrash metal.  Ian is the sole original member of the band to have survived countless world tours and twenty-one album releases and remains the principal lyricist. 

In 1997, while on a drunken binge, Ian attempted to break into the training facility for the New York Yankees and was subsequently arrested. It is no doubt a source of great irritation to the guitarist that this factoid is a permanent fixture of his biography.
