MBP instructor John Hartman is mining his Rolodex to bring a series of genuine industry legends to his weekly Recording Project class. So far this quarter, speakers have included manager-agent-promoter Jeff Greenberg, President and CEO of LA’s world-renowned Village Recorders; 12-time Grammy winner Al Schmitt, who has recorded and produced A-list luminaries from Duke Ellington to Barbra Striesand and beyond; Les Brown, Jr., leader of the Band Of Renown, the longest continuously running band in the history of recorded music; and legendary musician and educator Mark Volman (The Turtles, Flo & Eddie, Frank Zappa).
