On Thursday, April 8, MI will be getting a dose of Big Advice. The group will be appearing in concert with a Q&A session to follow.

Influenced by the R&B sounds of the seventies from Earth Wind & Fire to Tower of Power and Stevie Wonder, the core of Big Advice consists of singer/drummer Ahaguna G. Sun (Sun Bear, The Looters, Maze, Soul Train), bassist/singer Juan Nelson (Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals) and guitarist Werner Schuchner (the Whispers, Sun Bear, Maze & Soul Train).

Additional players include keyboard players Clarence Allen (Javier, Ruben Studdard, Clay Aikens) and Andrew Dorsett (Jessica Simpson, Darrin Hayes,Jennifer Love Hewett); percussionist Lenny Castro, drummer (and PIT grad) Paul Allen (Kelly Clarkson, Robert Cray, Andre Crouch), horn players Wayne Burgeron and Brandon Fields and vocalist Tanya Scarlett.

The new Big Advice CD and DVD are available on Electric Monkey Records and they recently scored a #4 R&B Hip Hop hit with their single,“Hearts of Fire”.
