GIT is extremely proud to welcome back alumnus and former instructor Paul Gilbert as Artist in Residence for the Fall 2004 quarter. Paul will be offering lessons to individual students on a signup basis and conducting open counseling sessions where he will jam and answer questions in a small-group setting.

Paul is widely considered to be one of the finest rock guitarists of his generation. Since graduating from GIT, his highly successful career has included CDs and numerous tours with Racer X and Mr.Big as well as several solo recordings and best-selling guitar instruction videos. Recently, MI Japan recognized Paul for his exceptional popularity in that country by bestowing the title of "Honorary Dean".
