On Tuesday, February 21, VIT welcomes
Sarah Hudson for a special clinic on singing, songwriting, and the music business.
Immediately after graduating from VIT in 2000, Hudson was signed to a major publishing deal by Rondor/Universal Publishing. She traveled around the US writing with major songwriters including Desmond Child, Billy Mann, Gary Burr, Adam Schlessinger and Eric Bazilian and landed a deal with S-Curve Records/EMI Music, who recorded her debut CD
Naked Truth (unreleased due to label closure). Hudson has toured and performed with such artists as Steven Tyler, Joss Stone, Ashlee Simpson and Snoop Dogg, and she has contributed material to and sung on major-label recordings for Aerosmith, Ozzy Osbourne, Kelly Osbourne, Ringo Starr, Robert Downey Jr. and others. She has also appeared on MTV's
Damage Control, as a guest judge on Bravo's
Project Runway, and has been profiled on the PBS documentary series
Frontline. Sarah's new band,
Ultraviolet, is rehearsing for upcoming performances.
