MI's Recording Artist Program (RAP) has announced some exciting news for this fall's session.
Joining the RAP staff will be four new Project Advisors with impressive music industry credentials. Joining the staff of Advisors who work one-on-one with students on their centerpiece Recording Projects will be*:
Alessandro Cortini (pictured),touring keyboard player with
Nine Inch Nails and writer/singer/producer/leader of
Modwheelmood Jonathan Bates, frontman for electronic rock groundbreakers
Mellowdrone Ronny Mikkelsen, engineer for the immensely popular and influential LA radio show
Sounds Eclectic on KCRW-FM as well as the
Axis of Justice radio show with Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine) and Serj Tankian (System of a Down)
Paul Blake, (aka Weinstein) producer/musician extraordinare with collaborative/co-writing credits alongside Timbaland and Justin Timberlake.
In other news, RAP has partnered with graphics industry heavyweight
Adobe to offer students the powerful
Adobe Creative Suite at no charge. This impressive program gives RAP students the tools to develop professional quality CD artwork and websites on their personal laptop studios in support of their Recording Projects.
