| Feb 12, 2004
On Thursday, February 12, Musicians Institute is proud to host a performance by the internationally renowned virtuoso violinist and Rector of the National Academy of Music of Kazakhstan, Aiman Musakhodzhayeva. This rare US appearance by Ms. Musakhodzhayeva is one of a series of cross-cultural musical events between MI and the National Academy. Over the past several years, MI has been proud to host visits by Kazakhstani music students and instructors including a recent show by jazz/fusion ensemble “Sound Four” and an upcoming March visit by the “Little Virtuosos”, young musicians performing on traditional Kazakhstani instruments. Ms. Musakhodzhayeva is the winner of countless awards and honors throughout Europe and Asia and her concert performances have received ecstatic reviews. A sample of comments includes, "Her high mastery receives great ovation, wonder and admiration. (Neue Westfalicshe",26.02.02), and "She wins our hearts by the harmony of her bright virtuosity, passion and sparkling smile". (Allegemeine Zeitung, (20.02.02). Musicians Institute is honored to welcome Ms. Musakhodzhayeva to our Passage stage at 6750 Hollywood Boulevard, where she will perform a program ranging from classic to contemporary.
