VIT Welcomes Carol Welsman Nov 19, 2007
On Monday, November 19 VIT welcomes Carol Welsman for a return seminar appearance. Welsman is an internationally acclaimed singer and pianist whose expressive vocal styling and dynamic stage presence have captivated audiences around the world. She has sold over 60,000 CDs in Canada alone, something few jazz artists in Canada have experienced. With an award for "Pianist-Keyboardist of the Year" and nomination for "Best Female Vocalist" at the 2006 Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards, Carol is riding a new wave of success. She has released five CDs to date with four receiving nominations for Juno Awards, the Canadian equivalent to the Grammy Awards.
