Roger Burn Memorial Tribute
| Apr 24, 2009
On March 29th 2009, Musicians Institute instructor Roger Burn lost a two-year battle with kidney cancer. His dedication to his students and his uncompromising, tough-love approach to teaching will be greatly missed. On Friday, April 24 at 8:00PM, MI will host a tribute to Roger including performances by the Yellowjackets and friends, including Roger's own group Shapes. This event is open to the public. There will be a $10 donation at the door, a silent auction, and Shapes CDs for sale, with all proceeds going toward the Burn family’s medical expenses (please make checks payable to Ed Burn). Another service for Roger will be held on Wednesday, April 29 at 12:00 noon Westwood United Methodist Church 10497 Wilshire Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90024
