RIT Completes OSX/Pro Tools Upgrade

Recording Institute of Technology director Dallan Beck announced today that RIT has completed the process of upgrading all of RIT”s digital audio systems to OSX and ProTools 6.1. In addition to the latest versions of the Mac operating system and industry-standard Pro Tools digital audio software, RIT offers training on virtually every configuration of Mac and Pro Tools currently in use, including OS9 and ProTools version 5.1 as well as Pro Tools HD, TDM and LE systems with 192 I/O, 96 I/O, M-BOX, 002R and 001 interfaces. Firewire drives, provided to every RIT student upon entering the program, allow seamless interchangeability and storage of data between sessions and labs for all of RIT’s studios and workstations.
