PIT Presents Carlos Vega Memorial Concert

Each year, some of the greatest singers and musicians on the West Coast come together to pay musical tribute to long-lost friend and drummer extrordinaire Carlos Vega, and this year's event will be held on Saturday, December 9rd at 8:00pm. Getting together to play and remember 'Los is an opportunity to have fun and make some great music, and people come from all over the world to attend along with Carlos' family and friends. Proceeds from ticket sales are used to provide a PIT scholarship for an outstanding drummer to be chosen during a special drum-off.


In addition to the drum-off and all-star concert, DW Drums is also co-sponsoring a drum clinic by world-renowned drummer (and PIT grad) Curt Bisquera at 3:00pm the same afternoon. All advance ticket holders to the concert will be admitted free to the clinic. The final competition for the Carlos Vega Memorial Scholorship will take place immediately following the clinic at 4:30pm, with judges currently scheduled to include Bisquera, event organizer and keyboard session ace David Garfield, PIT Director Tim Pedersen, DW President Don Lombardi, Guitar Center Rock Walk Director Dave Wiederman, and top LA drummers Forrest Robinson and Russ Miller.
