On Wednesday, April 29, MI welcomes Ankla/Puya guitarist Ramon Ortiz for a special afternoon of Open Counseling. Guitar Player magazine once wrote, “Ramon Ortiz is a florid soloist. He also has a knack for orchestrating long, richly textured instrumental passages. But his most singular accomplishment may be his unique rhythm style, a relentlessly syncopated approach light enough to groove with the rumba rhythms underlying many riffs, yet heavy enough to satisfy the most bloodthirsty metalhead.”
