MI Student Lands Korn Gig!
| Jan 30, 2006
Hiring Hall, MI's in-house industry audition showcase, recently provided a chance for MI talent to show their stuff before two major recording acts. First, mega-metal icons Korn came through looking for a backing vocalist for their upcoming world tour. Following on their heels, Epic recording artists Fuel auditioned lead vocalists. The Fuel jury is still out, but the Korn audition paid off handsomely for former VIT, GIT and RAP student Kalen Chase. Kalen will be joining Korn for their upcoming world tour as a backup vocalist, guitarist, keyboardist and percussionist. The tour will take him across the United States as well as to Asia, Australia and Europe, and when not on the road, he'll continue his duties as principle composer and lead singer for the Los Angeles-based band Crucifix Doll, currently in record deal negotiations.
