House Band Weekend Returns

MI’s world-famous live performance-based education is now available in a weekend workshop! If you play guitar, bass, drums or keyboards, you’re invited to join the House Band Weekend on October 15-16 at Musicians Institute. Supercharge your live playing chops as you spend two days within MI’s world-class facilities in the center of Hollywood learning, playing, jamming and performing on the concert stage with pro musicians. Here’s what you’ll get: • Live playing workshop: improve your performing skills under the guidance of experienced MI instructors • Classes: instrument-specific techniques and concepts • Visiting artist seminars: top players on each instrument share their insights • Private lesson: spend an hour focusing on your playing with an MI instructor • Open counseling: hang out, play and ask questions of some of MI’s top player/instructors • Jam: jump up on stage with the band and have some fun • Final concert: perform on MI’s main stage (friends and family definitely invited!) and receive a free DVD of the show The House Band Weekend gives you more than twelve hours of intensive learning and playing in a single weekend. Note: You must be at least fourteen years of age to attend House Band Weekend. There are no minimum skill requirements, but absolute beginners may find the program very fast-paced.
