GIT Hosts All-Star Concert for Joe Diorio

On Thursday May 31at 7:30pm, GIT will host a special benefit concert and fundraising event for jazz legend, guitar virtuoso and GIT founding instructor Joe Diorio. The event, open to the public, will feature an all-star lineup including Robben Ford, Jimmy Wyble, Ron Eschete, David Becker, Frank Potenza, Sid Jacobs, Phil Upchurch, Pat Kelley, Peter Sprague, John & Jeanne Pisano, Bob Magnusson, Cathy Segal-Garcia, Jamie Findlay, Pat Hicks (with more TBA). Each performer will play on MI’s main concert stage with a house rhythm section as a musical homage to the indelible mark that Diorio has made as a world-class jazz performer, composer, educator, artist, inspiration and mentor to thousands of musicians worldwide.
The concert event will seek to raise funds on behalf of Joe to assist him with various expenses resulting from recent, serious health issues.
