GIT Director Beth Marlis to Judge Rock Guitar Competition Jun 18, 2007
GIT Director Beth Marlis heads East this summer to join the judging panel for the highly esteemed North American Rock Guitar Competition in Buffalo, NY. This event has gained international prominence as a part of the Buffalo Niagara Guitar Festival and the 2007 judging panel features music industry heavyweights from Guitar Player Magazine, Austin City Limits, and Gibson Guitars. The North American Rock Guitar Competition, which celebrates its seventh anniversary this year, is an electric crowd pleaser that has grown by leaps and bounds since its inception in 2001. With the winning combination of renowned judges, a rockin’ host (NYC vocalist Queen V) and some of the best unsigned rock guitarists in the country competing for the coveted Tommy Tedesco award, the Competition has become a “not-to-be-missed” event and the crown jewel of the Buffalo Niagara Guitar Festival . Sponsors include Gibson Guitars, Guitar Player Magazine, Long & McQuade Musical Instruments and WNED TV.
