GCA Presents Gary Scott on Luthiery Business and Guitar Design Apr 11, 2008
On Friday, April 11, GCA presents Gary Scott, accomplished luthier and owner of GS Pro Series Guitars. His presentation will focus on how to start a custom guitar manufacturing business as well as the technical aspects of his neck-through-body and patent-pending neck designs.
Scott, who apprenticed under master violin maker Peter Horn for six years, has run GS Pro Series Guitars of Cleveland, OH for 15 years and specializes in made-to-order, hand-crafted guitars. The company is also holding a contest to name a new product line; the winner will receive a free guitar. Contest details and more information about GS Guitars can be found at www.gsproseries.com.
