On Monday, February 22 from 12:00-1:30 in the Concert Hall, MI’s Vocal Program welcomes vocal coach extraordinaire Roger Love. During this hands-on clinic, Mr. Love will discuss his approach to vocal technique and personally coach selected students.
Love’s extensive resume includes coaching such artists as Adrian Grenier of Entourage (HBO), Paris Hilton, Reese Witherspoon, Joaquin Phoenix, Gavin Rossdale (Bush), Nicole Scherzinger (Pussycat Dolls), Maroon 5, John Mayer, Tool, The Killers, Taking Back Sunday, Rob Thomas (Matchbox 20), Eminem, The Beach Boys, The Jacksons, Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Chicago, Iggy Pop, Smashing Pumpkins, Papa Roach, Mandy Moore, Hanson, En Vogue, Billy Idol, and Phish.
Roger’s vocal productions have reached over 100 million in worldwide CD sales, he has written three top-selling books, and has appeared as a regular in three major network TV shows (P
opstars, Rockstar/INXS, and
The One: Making a Music Star). On the silver screen, Roger’s work on the film
Walk the Line earned him three Golden Globe Awards as well as a Screen Actors Guild Award, RIAA Platinum CD Award, Grammy Award, and Academy Award.
