"Certified Guitar Player" Tommy Emmanuel in Exclusive Clinic

On Monday February 8 at 7:00pm, Musicians Institute’s Concert Hall will be packed to the gills when Australian guitar legend Tommy Emmanuel returns to MI for an exclusive guitar clinic. Designated a "CGP: Certified Guitar Player" by the late, great Chet Atkins (a rare accolade Mr. Atkins awarded to only a handful of his favorite guitarists), Emmanuel is one of the most captivating solo performers the steel-string acoustic has ever known, and his MI clinics are always must-see events. From orchestral arrangements of ballads –including both originals and classics such as “Over the Rainbow” — to turbo-charged boogie-blues grooves to hypnotic Travis-picked country tours-de-force, Tommy will demonstrate the marvelous techniques he has been honing since he began performing professionally at age six.
